Our client, a leader in urban development and infrastructure economics, is seeking a director-level economist to spearhead economic analysis for significant infrastructure and development projects.
The role focuses on delivering market assessments, business planning, and grant funding evaluations. Providing economic insight to public and private sector clients, supporting development plans, planning processes, and investment decisions through analysis and business case preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and secure new opportunities
- Conduct market analysis, economic benefits, socio-economic impact assessments, and land value uplift studies
- Prepare feasibility studies and business cases to support investment decisions
- Deliver key projects across major infrastructure and development schemes
- Provide assessments related to social value, property market studies, and natural capital
- Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of projects
- Minimum business targets £300,000-£500,000
Required Skills
- Extensive experience in economic consulting
- Proven track record in leading large-scale, complex projects
- Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders
- Expertise in economic benefit assessments, feasibility studies, and business cases
- Ability to manage and grow client relationships, securing business opportunities
- Strong team leadership and project management experience
