We are looking to launch a legal brand given the strength of our economics team and the overlap between the two fields. As the Director of legal recruitment, you will be responsible for overseeing the launch of our legal brand, and your role will involve developing and executing recruitment strategies, building client relationships, and guiding the team to success.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the legal recruitment strategy withing this market establishing a strong talent pipeline and presence. This will involve building strong relationships and networks with private clients, consultancies, startups as well as growing in-house legal teams.
We realise this requires dedication as well as skill, and you will therefore have the full support of our directors and business to achieve these goals. Progression and ambition are unrestricted, and we therefore would love for someone to have the entrepreneurial spirit to establish the brand and then begin to grow their own team.
Key Accountabilities
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the legal markets, understanding their unique hiring needs and providing strategic recruitment solutions
- Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods, including database searches, job boards, networking, and referrals, to identify and attract top-tier finance professionals
- Candidate Assessment: Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates’ qualifications, skills, and cultural fit with clients
- Market Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends and market developments, allowing you to provide expert advice to both clients and candidates
- Negotiation: Facilitate offers and negotiations between clients and candidates, ensuring a smooth and mutually beneficial hiring process
- Performance Metrics: Consistently meet and exceed performance metrics and targets, contributing to the overall success of the team and company
Required experience
To be considered, you will:
- Have at least an undergraduate degree
- Proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant or in a similar role within the legal markets
- Strong understanding of the legal industry and network (lawyers, solicitors, barristers and in-house experts)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Additional languages are a plus
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Adept at using recruitment tools and technologies.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Be comfortable with sourcing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels including senior stakeholders
- Enjoy working in a fast paced and demanding environment
