A respected legal practice known for its strong client relationships and high-calibre legal work is looking to strengthen its employment offering. The firm advises a broad mix of corporate, institutional and private clients and is widely regarded for its thoughtful, solution-focused approach to legal challenges.
With a broad and diverse client base spanning multiple sectors, the firm provides advice across areas including corporate, real estate, tax, private client and employment law. As part of its continued growth strategy, the firm is now seeking to strengthen its employment practice with the addition of an experienced Labor & Employment Partner.
Role
This role offers an opportunity for an established employment lawyer to play a central role in shaping and expanding the firm’s employment practice. The successful candidate will advise clients on a broad range of employment and workplace matters while contributing to the continued development of the firm’s client relationships and practice offering.
The position provides significant autonomy within a supportive and collaborative environment, with opportunities to work closely with colleagues across multiple practice areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a wide range of labor and employment law matters, including disputes, investigations and workplace compliance
- Represent clients in employment-related litigation and dispute resolution processes
- Provide strategic advice on employment contracts, workplace policies and regulatory compliance
- Support clients with workplace investigations, employee relations issues and risk management
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships across corporate and institutional clients
- Contribute to business development initiatives and help grow the employment practice
- Collaborate with partners across other practice areas on cross-disciplinary matters
- Mentor and support junior lawyers within the team
Key Skills
- Strong experience advising on employment and labor law matters in a law firm environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex employment disputes and advisory matters
- Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify new opportunities for client engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary legal team
- Strong professional network within the business or legal community
- Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
