Director of Competition (Economics)

An international consultancy is looking for an economist to head up a new competition practice based in Sydney. The consultancy already has well-established offices in Europe and the US that focus on competition, litigation, and damages cases.

Role Overview

As a Director, you will be responsible for managing projects, business development activities, maintaining client relationships. This exciting opportunity allows you to work on a variety of projects within competition economics and to work in a collaborative and supportive consultancy environment.

Required Skills for Director of Competition

• Proven experience at a competition agency, in a sector regulator, or in an economic consultancy
• PhD in Economics
• Experience of dealing directly with clients (such as law firms and regulators)
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficiency in python or R would be desirable
