Are you a seasoned Economic Consultant with a track record of success? A prestigious consultancy is seeking a talented economist to join its rapidly expanding practice based in London. Role

This is an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to step out of the typical consulting sector and develop something on their own. You will be joining a leading firm and leveraging their already established name in the industry, being responsible for growing their competition and regulation markets, building upon their strong reputation, bringing on clients, and eventually expanding your own team. 

As a senior member of the team, the partners will give you autonomy from day one on the day-to-day management of cases. There is a real opportunity here to make a huge impact at a senior level, to take ownership of key accounts, and to develop your personal network into a revenue generating function.

  • Working across a broad range of areas within competition, heavily involved in litigation and mergers cases. As well as the opportunity to explore the regulatory side, particularly in water, energy, and telecoms 
  • Exposure to multiple sectors including mergers and acquisition, antitrust cases, cost assessment and efficient benchmarking, outcome incentive design, finance and cost of capital, risk analysis, and board-level engagement

Required Skills

  • Proven experience working on high level economic analysis in the competition and/or regulatory space, either at another consultancy or economic regulator 
  • Economics education to at least masters level with, ideally a focus on competition and/or regulation
  • Strong understanding of economics, with the ability to solve real world problems
  • Experience communication and working with clients and/or key stakeholders
  • Based in, or open to relocation to London  
  • The ideal candidate will be smart, tenacious and commercially aware
