Energy Economist

A global consultancy is looking for an energy economist to join a growing team focusing on regulation and policy economics, with a heavy focus on energy economics and climate policy. The firm already has well established economic advisory practices in the UK, France, and the Middle East, and they are now rapidly growing in Germany.  

The other economic advisory practices focus on economics and finance projects, covering the Financial Services, TMT, Transport, Water, and Energy sectors, and is part of the firm’s global consulting network. It is an extremely dynamic practice area with a unique blend of skills in econometrics, policy evaluation, macroeconomic modelling, regulatory economics, and competition analysis.

Role Overview

As an energy economist, you will be responsible for managing projects, business development activities, maintaining client relationships, and providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff. This exciting opportunity allows you to work on a variety of projects within energy economics and to work in a collaborative and supportive consultancy environment.   

Required Skills

• BSc and MSc in Economics   
• Proven experience in economic policy in the energy sector 
• Experience of working in an economics consultancy or regulator   
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills   
• Able to draft and speak fluently in German
