Labor and Employment Associate

The firm’s employment and workplace advisory practice supports clients navigating evolving labour regulations, workplace disputes and workforce management issues across multiple jurisdictions.

Known for its collaborative culture and high-quality legal work, the firm combines deep legal expertise with commercially focused advice. Due to continued growth in its employment practice, the firm is now seeking to appoint a Labor & Employment Associate to join its expanding team.

Role

The Associate will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The role offers exposure to complex workplace disputes, employment advisory work and strategic client support across a diverse range of industries.

You will play an active role in delivering practical legal advice, supporting litigation matters and assisting clients in managing workforce-related risks within a fast-moving regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on employment law issues including workplace disputes, compliance and employee relations matters
• Draft and review employment contracts, policies and other workplace documentation
• Support litigation and dispute resolution relating to employment and labour matters
• Assist with internal investigations, disciplinary matters and grievance procedures
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefing materials and case documentation
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across practice areas on employment aspects of corporate or regulatory matters
• Maintain strong client relationships through responsive and commercially focused legal advice

Key Skills

• Qualified lawyer with a strong academic background
• Experience or training within employment or labour law in a private practice environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively under deadlines
• Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work within multidisciplinary legal teams
