Manager/Senior Manager (technical accounting desk)

A leading global firm is seeking highly skilled professionals for a permanent position based in Riyadh or Khobar. This role offers the chance to work with a dynamic technical accounting desk, handling complex accounting and reporting matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on complex accounting and reporting issues, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant frameworks. Offer timely, well-reasoned technical responses to engagement teams and internal stakeholders. Coach engagement teams and share knowledge of key learnings
• Conduct thorough pre-issuance reviews of financial statements for each reporting period, identifying and addressing technical issues, and providing clear feedback to engagement teams
• Continuously identify and addresses common technical deficiencies through team interactions. Act as a trusted advisor, coaching engagement teams on intricate accounting matters. Offer informal and formal consultations, assisting with interpretations of complex financial reporting requirements
• Stay up-to-date with evolving regulatory and professional developments, both locally and internationally. Assess their impact on audits and financial statements and communicate key insights to leadership and relevant teams
• Develop and facilitate training programs, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance technical expertise within the firm. Leverage global training materials where available
• Contribute to DPP bulletins, alerts, FAQs, and publications, drafting timely articles on emerging accounting issues, key technical challenges, and recent consultation outcomes

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, or CPA)
• Demonstrated expertise in accounting advisory and audits, ideally within a Big 4 firm
• In-depth understanding of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and ISAs
• Strong proficiency in English, with exceptional communication and presentation abilities
• Previous exposure to a technical accounting desk is an adva
