A fast-growing UK-based property services group, operating across residential lettings, sales and related services, is seeking an experienced M&A Project Manager to join its dedicated mergers and acquisitions function.

The organisation has expanded rapidly through a sustained programme of strategic acquisitions, building a nationwide network of locally recognised businesses while retaining strong regional leadership. M&A plays a central role in the group’s growth strategy, supported by a specialist in-house deal team and a strong emphasis on disciplined integration.

Role

The Project Manager, will work within a specialist acquisitions team (comprised of corporate finance and project management professionals) to support deals from early planning and governance through to execution and post-completion integration.

This position is ideal for someone with solid acquisition project experience, systematic delivery capability, and the confidence to manage complexity while maintaining positive working relationships across functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and manage the end-to-end project delivery of multiple simultaneous acquisitions
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans with clear milestones and ownership
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams including finance, operations, HR, compliance, and commercial teams
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure timely execution of key actions
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between deal teams and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure all governance requirements and risk tracking are maintained
  • Support post-completion handovers into business units and regional teams
  • Help refine and improve M&A project processes and tools

Key Skills

  • Proven experience delivering mergers, acquisitions, or integration projects
  • Comfortable in an acquisitive organisation or advisory environment
  • Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent)
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communicator who can influence, challenge and mobilise people
  • Efficient in balancing detail-orientation with commercial urgency
  • Personable and proactive in managing stakeholders
